Grace said, "It was fun in the skydiver's plane because I could see the controls."
Daniel said,"I saw the pilot's seat."





When Shawn turned the control lever the ailerons went up and down.


Zoe said, "When she pulled the control lever the elevators on the tail turned up and that made the plane go up."

Getting a Lift

Do you know how planes get lift?




We blew fast across a piece of thin paper.







It lifted up.


Planes' wings are curved on the top so the wind has to go faster over the top of the wing which makes the plane lift up!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jordan took some photos of us doing our writing and spelling. "To take a good photo you have to get their whole face and hold the camera carefully and still," said Jordan.


Fletcher is writing about his police toys. Fletcher likes to write about pirates and police.

Flying Start

We are learning about flying. Jessica from Moutere brought some flying birds that we looked at.


We know wings help birds fly. We noticed they have long feathers at the ends of their wings and long feathers for their tails.Carl said. "Birds steer with their tails."
