Flying Start

We are learning about flying. Jessica from Moutere brought some flying birds that we looked at.

We know wings help birds fly. We noticed they have long feathers at the ends of their wings and long feathers for their tails.Carl said. "Birds steer with their tails."

Those birds look really good. Thank you for bringing them to school for us to look at. Carl is clever to think that birds steer with their tails.

Wow, I have seen them and they really look great. What a clever young man you are Carl, to think that birds steer with their tails. I look forward to read more about what you will find out next.

Hi Waimea
I am looking forward to learning more about flight on your blog. Are you just studying how birds fly? I wondered whether you might like to make some paper planes as part of your study. I found a website that shows how to make them. http://bestpaperairplanes.com/
